Just look at Irish and Scottish teams: Bray Wanderers, St. Patrick’s Athletic , TWO teams named “Rovers”!, Hearts
And then there are US teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder

Don’t forget about the London Silly Nannies!

Totally agree that foreign sports clubs have better names. One of my favorites is Colo-Colo, the Chilean soccer club named after the famed Mapuche warrior.

I also like the Mexican soccer club called “Club America.” What an inclusive team name!
